SSC Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Syllabus
Scheme of Examination:
- The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar).
- The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in Hindi, English and in 13 regional languages viz. (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri, (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu and (xiii) Urdu
- There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the scores. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
14.6 Computer Based Examination:

- There will be no negative marking in Session-I. In Session-II, there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
Indicative Syllabus for Computer Based Examination :
- Numerical and Mathematical Ability: It will include questions on problems relating to Integers and Whole Numbers, LCM and HCF, Decimals and Fractions, Relationship between numbers, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations and BODMAS, Percentage, Ratio and Proportions, Work and Time, Direct and inverse Proportions, Averages, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Area and Perimeter of Basic Geometric Figures, Distance and Time, Lines and Angles, Interpretation of simple Graphs and Data, Square and Square roots etc.
- Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving: The questions in this part intend to measure the candidates’ general learning ability. The questions will be broadly based on Alpha-Numeric Series, Coding and Decoding, Analogy, Following Directions, Similarities and Differences, Jumbling, Problem Solving and Analysis, Non- verbal Reasoning based on diagrams, age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, etc.
- General Awareness: The broad coverage of the test will be on Social Studies (History, Geography, Art and Culture, Civics, Economics), General Science and Environmental studies up to 10th Standard.
- English Language and Comprehension: Candidates’ understanding of the basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and to test comprehension, a simple paragraph may be given and question based on the paragraph to be asked.

परीक्षा की योजना:
- परीक्षा में कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा, शारीरिक दक्षता परीक्षा (पीईटी)/शारीरिक मानक परीक्षा (पीएसटी) (केवल हवलदार के पद के लिए) शामिल होगी।
- कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा हिंदी, अंग्रेजी और 13 क्षेत्रीय भाषाओं में आयोजित की जाएगी। (i) असमिया, (ii) बंगाली, (iii) गुजराती, (iv) कन्नड़, (v) कोंकणी, (vi) मलयालम, (vii) मणिपुरी, (viii) मराठी, (ix) उड़िया, (x) पंजाबी, (xi) तमिल, (xii) तेलुगु और (xiii) उर्दू
- स्कोर के पुनर्मूल्यांकन/पुनः जांच का कोई प्रावधान नहीं होगा। इस संबंध में कोई पत्राचार नहीं किया जाएगा।
- Session-I में कोई नकारात्मक अंकन नहीं होगा। Session-II में, प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए एक अंक का नकारात्मक अंकन होगा। अत: अभ्यर्थियों को सलाह दी जाती है कि प्रश्नों का उत्तर देते समय इसे ध्यान में रखें।
कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा के लिए सांकेतिक पाठ्यक्रम:
- संख्यात्मक और गणितीय क्षमता: इसमें पूर्णांक और पूर्ण संख्या, LCM and HCF, दशमलव और अंश, संख्याओं के बीच संबंध, मौलिक अंकगणितीय संचालन और बीओडीएमएएस, प्रतिशत, अनुपात और अनुपात, कार्य और समय, प्रत्यक्ष और व्युत्क्रम से संबंधित समस्याओं पर प्रश्न शामिल होंगे। अनुपात, औसत, साधारण ब्याज, लाभ और हानि, छूट, बुनियादी ज्यामितीय आंकड़ों का क्षेत्र और परिधि, दूरी और समय, रेखाएँ और कोण, सरल रेखांकन और डेटा की व्याख्या, वर्ग और वर्गमूल आदि।
- तर्क क्षमता और समस्या समाधान: इस भाग के प्रश्नों का उद्देश्य उम्मीदवारों की सामान्य सीखने की क्षमता को मापना है। प्रश्न मोटे तौर पर अल्फा-न्यूमेरिक सीरीज़, कोडिंग और डिकोडिंग, एनालॉजी, निम्नलिखित दिशाओं, समानता और अंतर, जंबलिंग, प्रॉब्लम सॉल्विंग एंड एनालिसिस, डायग्राम पर आधारित नॉन-वर्बल रीजनिंग, उम्र की गणना, कैलेंडर और क्लॉक आदि पर आधारित होंगे।
- सामान्य जागरूकता: परीक्षण का व्यापक कवरेज सामाजिक अध्ययन (इतिहास, भूगोल, कला और संस्कृति, नागरिक शास्त्र, अर्थशास्त्र), सामान्य विज्ञान और 10 वीं कक्षा तक पर्यावरण अध्ययन पर होगा।
- अंग्रेजी भाषा और समझ: उम्मीदवारों को अंग्रेजी भाषा की मूल बातें, इसकी शब्दावली, व्याकरण, वाक्य संरचना, समानार्थक शब्द, विलोम और इसका सही उपयोग आदि की समझ और समझ का परीक्षण करने के लिए, एक सरल पैराग्राफ दिया जा सकता है और पैराग्राफ पर आधारित प्रश्न पूछा जाना है।
